Three books

There is clearly only one book under the title Meetings With Remarkable Men. However, you can divide that book into three parts:

  1. Formed by the chapters 2, 3, 4 (My Father, My First Tutor, Bogachevsky) as Book 1.
  2. The next three chapters (Mr. X or Captain Pogossian, Abram Yelov, Prince Yuri Lubovedsky) as Book 2
  3. The final three (Ekim Bey, Piotr Karpenko, Professor Skridlov) as Book three.

Setting the introduction aside, the next three chapters cover the growth to adulthood. The following three chapters cover the three centers of man. Solita Solano reported a comment form Gurdjieff that Chapters 8, 9 and 10 were about the Kesdjan body.

This may not be the only way of looking at this. A prior draft of the book implies that Chapters 8, 9 and 10 were intended to be Book 2.
